If Spurs had traded Duncan for Malone before Duncan's rookie season, how many championships would Spurs win until 2003, when Robinson retired?

Do Robinson and Malone fit well together? Does either win another mvp from 98 onwards?

Do the Jazz win any championships with Duncan in that time period?

Duncan tore his meniscus and missed the 2000 playoffs. If they have Mailman there's a good chance they repeat 99 & 00, because Kobe wasn't really Kobe until the following season.

They would be competitive in 1998 and 1999, but by 2000 I think neither Malone nor Admiral were good enough to anchor Spurs team (which was very thin and not very talented) to the title. Of course no ring in 2003 as well.

I think they would have a legit chance at a three peat from 98-00. They'd still be very competitive until 2002 but age would get them.
