Would you rather have no center or no point guard?

Only refers to the current state of the NBA (I imagine the answer to this question might be different in the 90s, 80s, etc.)
Would you rather have no (nominal) center or no (nominal) point guard on your team? We see a lot of multi-positionality now more than ever between 2-3-4, but the 1 and the 5 spot still tend to be pretty distinct. Which of the last two remaining positions (outside of "wing") is more important to success in 2022?

aversge wings and nominal shooting guards (think seth curry) can bring the ball up and run some plays even if their Basketball IQ and handles are not Up to par with the average point guard
finding wings who can bring me serviciable rebounding and rim protection of center caliber seems harder

Would you rather have turnovers and lack of pace control or no interior defense and rebounding?

Its a cop-out answer, but it depends entirely on who my wings are.

Depends on the era

Leaning towards no center now. But in the past I'd rather have have no PG.

Motion offences that mitigate the need for a point guard are more effective on offence than blitz heavy defensive schemes that mitigate the need for a rim protector are on defence, so I'd rather have no point guard.

Echoing depends on my wing stance. If I had Pg13 I'd pick a center and no Pg. If Ak47 was my wing I'd pick a Pg and no center.

I was just thinking the same thing. Also, Draymond is somehow both and neither at the same time

When you have players like Harden, Booker or Mitchell at the 2 then obviously you want a center instead of a point guard and with a PF like Giannis or AD you'd have to go point guard instead.
Every team needs playmaking and rim protection so this question depends on what the bigger need is for a team at that moment.

Same with Giannis, LeBron, Durant could somewhat do the same things too.
I suppose everything depends on the abilities of the roster, and it's up to the coach to figure out to how to best showcase their talents.
