I think recency bias will push this in favor of Ja. Not saying it isn't warranted- it's very close for me- but I'm still going with Trae's duel threat of scoring/playmaking by a small margin

Yeah, Trae is just proving us why shooting three is the most important thing in today's game. Guards like Ja and DeRozan could never lead a serious team in today's game.

Ja Morant. Trae's improvements are overshadowed by the overall regression of his teammates.

Trae is better by a clear but not HUGE margin. It's hard to overstate how much better Jas supporting cast is

Memphis WITHOUT Ja is probably better than the Hawks even with Trae. They're 12-2 without Ja the first team in the last 25 seasons to lead wire to wire in 4 straight games including literally the biggest blowout in Nba history

Bane emerging as one of the best twoway Sgs, Jjj finally realizing his potential and being somewhat close to a Draymond level force. Those 2 along the rest of the cast is almost like having Klay and Draymond with top 5 depth in the league behind them

Traes bad defense normally gets him killed in comps but Ja is one of the few who's just as bad a defender if not worse
