A player that combines the best of Towns and Gobert.

I'd take the hybrid because of the injury concerns of the real life player.

KAT is a better shooter than Embiid but overall I think Embiid has surpassed KAT offensively these last two years. Even though Gobert's defense would be an upgrade over Embiid's defense, I'm not sure if that is enough to overcome the difference on offense. Really goes to show what a big leap Embiid has made.

Towns/Gobert hybrid is probably the GOAT. Imagine Towns movement with Rudy's brain/work ethic, and Gobert with Towns' touch, three point shooting. We never saw anything remotely close to this. It's almost like giving Towns' athleticism to Jokic.

I think the combined Kat/Rudy is quite a bit better offensively than just Towns. Just Rudy with good hands is a very very dangerous screen guy. KAT may marginally improve Rudys mobility on D as well.

I'll go with the combo by a fairly clear margin, Rudy has been better than Joel for extended stretches even without the massive skill improvements he'd get from KAT.

I think Towns offense + Gobert defense vs Embiid is a decent argument, if you think Embiid is now clearly better than Towns on offense.

I think I might take the hybrid even if health considerations were a wash. But yeah, with injury profile into the mix......personally, I think this becomes rather easily the Towns/Gobert hybrid.

Eh, I still probably go with the hybrid, to be honest. But it's very close, I can understand someone going with "healthy" Embiid. He's turned into a phenomenal player.

Hybrid for me. Embiid has surpassed KAT as a primary scorer, but I'm still getting probably the best shooting center in the league and the best defensive center in one package. Given that KAT is also insanely skilled outside of just shooting, it's hard for me to pass that combination up, even for Embiid.

I rate Towns offense higher than Embiid, so Towns/Gobert hybrid clearly for me.

If KAT were taller, and could roll to the basket like Gobert (except with good hands), and also shoot 3s? Pick and roll would be unstoppable.

Then, all time great rim protection of Gobert...

You bring up a good point of being an all-time great roller AND shooter. He would be the greatest pick and roll finisher roll man ever, with 40% from 3 and 70%+ at the rim, but also being able to reliably and consistently pass out of any potential double team.

No need for discussion. Peak Towns is better on offence than Embiid and Peak Gobert is better on defence. Even taking hypothetical load / stamina concerns into account, I think a not 100% in the regular season effort Gobert/Towns is better than Peak Healthy Embiid.
