2017 Mike Conley was legitimately so nasty. He was like a middle class CP3, easily a top 20 player in a tough era to be,

This is Mike Conley pretty clearly for me. I think he's much more capable as an offensive focal point than Jrue and the defensive advantage isn't significant. Jrues 2018 playoff run is much more of an outlier than Conley's best is too I feel.

I actually might prefer Jrue here. Conley was always strong defender, but Jrue is on another level. I disagree with previous take, defensive gap is significant. Holiday gives you siginificantly more versatile roster structure, especially for a postseason run.
On offense, neither is superstar-level but I think Holiday is a bit more dependable. Let's be honest, 2017 is a massive outlier for Conley, he never came close to that level again. Although Conley might peak slightly higher, I'm not sure if the gap still exists in postseason. Meanwhile we've seen that Holiday was very impactful player even when his shot wasn't falling in 2021.

The defensive adv is significant. Conley was a competent defender but overrated b/c of playing with Tony a Goat perimeter defender and a Dpoy big in Marc. Jrue is one of the best defensive Pgs ever I can't imagine Memphis defenses with Jrue, Tony and Marc.......

I'd prefer Conley slightly on offense, but Jrue pretty clearly overall. Small margin though.
