Who would you rather build a team around?

KG/Drexler. I think the gap between Drexler and Sheed is too big. Drexler’s like a top 30-40 player, Sheed is what top 100 maybe?

This isn't that close, I'd rather have the team with 2 superstars in KG/Drexler

I’ll take prime LeBron James thanks, not even remotely close.

This is a good comparison.

Rasheed is a perfect compliment to LeBron with his defense, shot making for a big and tenacity. While Rasheed isn't close to Garnett or Clyde, he is an extremely talented big man who would love playing next to James.

Clyde is a perfect fit next to KG with his shot creation and defensive chops at the wing.

I prefer the KG/Drexler pairing.

I dont see how this is close.

Sheed > KG

i dont see fit somehow closing that gap for clyde and KG

Sheed is a great fit next to LeBron. I will even take LeBron alone with cap space, or add any serviceable big, such as Horford or John Collins, over KG+Clyde. Not Porzingis though.

I think Sheed is a great fit next to Lebron. He is talented but willing to play the backseat as far as scoring but is also a capable defender. I would take the Lebron/Sheed duo.....

Is Drexler even clearly better than Sheed? I’ll take LeBron here.

I think sheed is a better player then KD if we are going prime/peak. KG had a better career. was more focused for a longer time. Sheed was better offensively. And unlike KD stretched it to three point line. Sheed is one of the guys whose numbers dont do close to giving his game justice.

Need to replace Drexler with Kobe or Wade to make it close.

I'm a big Sheed fan, but people here are completely overrating the offense because they like the idea of his offense. A stretch big who can also give you some mean post-up scoring when your offense bogs down? Sounds like the ideal big man. The posters on here saying he's maybe better than KG should say something to back up that statement because I'm not even sure what the angle was.

But you basically had to trick Sheed into that post-up scoring. He was very reluctant to go into the post and use that beautiful, impossibly high release turnaround. He seemed happiest as a spot-up guy but he wasn't a great shooter. Despite shooting more and more 3s as he got older, he never got above 35% (33% for his career). He was good on long 2s (42%) but not as good as KG (45% on way way way bigger volume).

We rag on KG's scoring, and he was overtasked as Minnesota's go-to post up scorer. But he's still a way better scorer than Sheed. Sheed topped out as a scorer with 2 seasons at 27 points per 100. KG averaged that for his career and peaked at 5 seasons over over 30 pp100. So you assume Sheed is the lower-volume, higher efficiency guy but no: KG has the efficiency edge as well (albeit only a small advantage there.

So just as a scorer, KG is Sheed's superior. If we factor in passing/playmaking, the gap widens. Sheed took years to escape the purgatory of posting the same amount of turnover as assists (and often had a negative ratio). He improved a bit late in his career but never affected the game with his passing.

Defensively, Sheed is an awesome man defender, a good extra rim protector. But KG is one of the best defenders ever.

Sheed is cooler than KG though, I'll give you that. Rolling into games in the dress code era wearing hockey jerseys and wrestling belts. The work he's done in Flint. I love Sheed and still rock his Trailblazer jerseys. But I'll show up on these boards when the KG slander gets dumb.

all that being said. I love the Sheed/Lebron fit.

I think Drexler and Garnett have more talent per player in this duo and also fit together quite well. But Sheed/Lebron sparks my interest more, and Lebron being the best player in this matchup I think probably gives them the advantage?

Well, Sheed certainly isn't close to KG any way you slice it. But he's still closer to KG than Drexler is to LeBron.

Jeez people are pretty high on Sheed. He is barely better than prime Al Horford for me. I'd probably take Horford's offense game over his, although Sheed is better on defense as a dominant post defender.

Barely better than Al Horford is a hella good player. Not close to Garnett or even Drexler, but still.

He is, without any doubt.
