Willie Mays is considered is considered by many to be greatest all-around baseball player of all time and among the short list of GOAT candidates as is Lebron in basketball. Who would you say is the better player at their respective sports?

baseball seems like a sport where goat lists have a lot more candidates seriously discussed as all time greats

ir makes sense since baseball has been around twice as Long as a pro league and has more players

so where in basketball we often discuss goat candidates with the fingers of one hand, baseball seems like you need to use your fingers from the feet

This is an impossible and immeasurable question because the sports and how individual players impact said sport are not even close to comparable.

Tough to compare. Baseball fans and historians place far less emphasis on team success and achievements than those that follow basketball.
