Who's been more valuable this season? Giannis or Embiid?

Imo its 2A and 2B with Jokic being 1 by a small but clear margin.

Yannis, despite the being a worse scorer, his superior playmaking and defence favors him by a small margin.

I figured the voting would be a little closer. I have to wonder if acquiring Harden slowed down Embiid

Where Giannis scores at the higher rate? Even post first two months Embiid is playing with 33 PPG.

Look at per 36 numbers, Giannis is .1 higher.

The philly homers are so over the top with their per minute scoring stantistics for Embiid that I figured his season must be, like, the best per minute scoring season EVER. I took that for granted.

Turns out he's not even the best *this year*?

Philly without Embiid is worse than the Bucks without Giannis, so I vote Embiid.

Embiid per 100 poss: 45.1ppg
Giannis per 100 poss: 43.6ppg

Per min stats don't account for pace, since we are splitting hairs here

I would vote Giannis. It's hard to believe the Bucks would last without a Center this season.

Last 40 games:

Embiid: 33.1 ppg in 34.3 mpg - 34.7 per36 (62.7 TS%)

And almost +2 higher volume per game. Why we comparing them like played 30 years apart?

Because you said Embiid scores on higher rate. They don't play the same minutes. Even looking at per game numbers, 1.5 advantage is not +2-3 you mentioned earlier.

I mean, they have almost identical scoring rates for two straight years. Giannis is considerably more efficient. You can make a case that Embiid's versatility makes him more valuable scorer overall, but in terms of sheer volume+efficiency comparison, Embiid doesn't do better at all.

Both are vital to their teams success.

But overall I’ve got Giannis comfortably better & more valuable than Embiid.

Higher rate per game. You call Giannis' advantage considerably but Embiid's nothing when both difference are %4,5-5.

In the last 50 games:
Embiid - 33 PPG, %62,7 TS,
Yannis - 30,9 PPG, %64,8 TS
. Embiid's scoring volume %6,7 higher than Yannis' and Yannis' efficiency %4,2 higher than Embiid's. There were also scoring turnovers and assisted points, points; Yannis has better assisted rate by %10 and Embiid has better scoring turnovers numbers by %15, yet Embiid's scoring turnovers creating 0,5 margin over Yannis and Yannis' better assisted rate created almost 2,0 margin over Embiid's.

Edit: As a result, Embiid's overall scoring impact a quarter to half SRS higher than Yannis'. If we exclude shot efficiency, with only volume and creation,it's almost +2 difference.
