He has a case, but I don't think it's a given. I probably would have him just outside of top 10.

Of course overall he gets considerably lower due to two way bigs.

I think Peak Chris Paul was too 20.
Old Chris Paul is better in some ways but I think pre injury Playoffs Chris Paul in New Orkeans with David West and Tyson Chandler was peak Chris Paul.

Peak wise on offense he has no case over these guys imo.

Jordan, Lebron, Curry, Magic, Oscar, Bird, Shaq, Nash, Jokic, Kareem

Then there’s quite a few that have a good case over him like Kobe, West, Dirk, Barkley, Wade etc.

I have a hard time seeing his offensive peak being top 10.

Overall peak I think he’s nowhere close to top 20, especially with Giannis and Jokic’s ascension in recent years.

OPOY level offence, somewhere around 20/35 and arguably top 25 overall impact. Don't see his peak(08 or 09) one of the top 10 offensive forces or his overall impact in the top 20.

Offensive peaks I'd very likely [if not for certain] put ahead of Paul:

Lebron
Jordan
Shaq
Curry
Magic
Nash
Jokic
probably Dirk??

Other offensive peaks I'd maybe put ahead of his:
Kareem
Bird
Oscar
Durant??

Some others worth considering (though I think I'd put below Paul):
West
Kobe
Harden
Giannis??

So he's maybe a fringe top-10 offensive peak at best for me [not certain].

Overall he's perhaps a fringe top 20 peak to me; maybe just barely outside of it after the peaks of Giannis and Jokic we've seen in the last 2-3 years.

I'd have to think about this but my answer is no just due to durability concerns.

Bill Walton had a monster peak season but all of his surrounding years were wrecked by injuries. He got lucky that year being healthy and if you replayed that season 100 times his body would give out in most of em.

Paul has had single seasons of perfect health but there never was a sustained 5 year stretch of health. Instead it would be healthy for a year or two than injuries for a year or two for his entire career. The confidence level that he'd get injured is much lower than Walton but if you replayed his healthy seasons his body does give out in a minority of em.

When you're talking top ten offensive peaks, most of the players your competing against are guys who had extremely high peaks and minimal to no durability concerns.

Good list, I'd probably put West, Kareem, Oscar and maybe Kobe ahead of Paul in terms of offensive peaks. Not sure what to do with Durant. I guess Pettit or Moses could have a fringe case, but not very strong.

Offensive peaks I would consider higher than Paul's:
Wilt
Oscar
West
Moses
Magic
Bird
Jordan
Shaq
Kobe
Nash
Wade
Dirk
LeBron
Curry
Durant
Harden
Jokic
Giannis

Hmm, first though I'd put him just above all the true bigs (Jokic may deserve some second thoughts here).

Below Oscar, Magic, MJ, Nash, LeBron, Curry. I'd think long/hard about West/Bird/Kobe/Wade/Harden.

I think I'd have him just inside the top 10 offensively for peaks, and probably just outside the top 20 overall (passes Nash, but lots of bigs blitz past him when including defense).

He's on the margins for each question.
