THE NBA TRIVIA THREAD

Post#1 » by migya » Mon May 9, 2022 6:07 am

This is the thread for nba trivia.

The person that answers the previous question correctly gets to give the next question.

- Which team lost in the 1st round in the 1992 playoffs to the Seattle Supersonics, how many games were win by both teams in that series and what was the point differential?

i think a thread where we all mention interesring trivia may work

to give a contribution

george mikan retired the year before russel joined the league, then russel retired right before kareem joined robbing us of those historically significant matchups

Let's see if anyone can top this random nonsense.

Four players who go by T.J. have played in the NBA (Ford, Warren, McConnell, Leaf).

All four have played for the Pacers at some point.

I knew the answer to the first two questions
"Coach, why don't you just relax? We're not good enough to beat the Lakers. We've had a great year, why don't you just relax and cool down?"

i think results that can be checked inmediately in bballref are not the best trivia for this kind of thread

curious thinghs like "which nba champion became a united states senator" would work better

And Kareem retired before Pervis Ellison was drafted.

Three of them also played together, right?

That reminds me - the Mavericks once had 3 point guards on the roster at once that were born on June 26, 1984. Deron Williams, Raymond Felton and JJ Barea.

Also, both Gary Trent and Gary Trent Jr were traded from the Blazers to the Raptors 41 games into their 3rd season.
I use a lot of parentheses when I post (it's a bad habit)

Only one.

Artis Gilmore

I always wonder what kind of duo Artis and Jordan would have been if Artis was still on the team when Jordan was drafted. Would played together for 4 years. Possibly 5. 84-85 to 88-89.
