Who wins a best of 7, the 2022 Warriors or the 2016 Warriors?

The 2016 Warriors have a Finals appearance.

The 2022 Warriors don't.

The conclusion is obvious.

The top end talent is better in 22 because Wiggins is better than Barnes and Poole is better than anyone 16 had on the bench but Curry was a bit better, as was Klay and Draymond. Iguodala and the 16 bench were quite good also. 16 is better.

2016

Their core of Green,Klay and Curry were all better in 2016 and they had also Iggy off the bench.

This is also true that Wiggins is better than Barnes

This is unfair because the 2022 Warriors can’t have a finals appearance yet, even if they were the greatest team of all-time.

I think the Big 3 of Klay, Draymond, and Steph all virtually peaked in 2016. I think the current versions are all at least a tier if not more beneath the 2016 crop. I think this current team could be argued to have more depth but I really believe star power wins series a lot of the type, and when there is such an overwhelming advantage, I find it likely more times than not 2016 comes out on top.

From an individual player perspective...

2022 Curry is great, but 2016 Curry was transcendent, at the peak of his powers. One of the greatest individual seasons of all time.
2016 Klay >>> 2022 Klay.
2016 Draymond > 2022 Draymond, especially shooting-wise. 2016 was a career peak for Draymond in multiple ways.
2016 had a still effective Bogut (until game 6 of the finals, anyway). 2022 is overcoming their lack of size, but it is still an issue.
2022 Wiggins >> 2016 Barnes. Barnes 3pt shooting in the finals was the stuff of Warrior fans nightmares, but he was good all year and a very good defender, so I won't add 12 "greater than" signs like many Warrior fans would.
2022 has Poole, Otto Porter, Jr., and Gary Payton II, while 2016 had Iguodala, Livingston, and Barbosa. It's a tough call, but Iguodala was really good, not the reanimated corpse that they have on the roster now.

Curry injuring his knee on a Donatas Motiejunas skidding sweat slick in game 1 of the first round robbed us of what could and should have been a transcendent finish to a transcendent season for him. He came back in the second round and had some very good games, but he wore down as the PS progressed and had clearly limited mobility. If not for that injury, they likely win the title. It's only because Curry got hurt and they didn't finish it off that this is even a question.

Pretty much agree with all of this.

Curry in 2016 was a +12.8 rTS% which is so ridiculously bonkers that it’s hard to really describe. 124 TS+ to 106 TS+ this season (+3.5 rTS%). Overall, Curry seems to be a more well-rounded player, physically stronger, very likely a better defender, but he’s not anywhere near the tiers ahead of everyone player he was in 2016. In the 79 games that the Warriors played that season, they were only out scored six times in games curry played well curry was on court with three of those being by 4 points or fewer; that’s just absolutely crazy.
