I'd probably be leaning toward Durant at this point. Pretty close, though.

On the most basic level of accolades, they both have an MVP, KD has a couple ASG MVPs and ROY. He is also one of, what, 3 players to win 4+ scoring titles?

KD and the gap is only going to get bigger. One of the ULTRA-RARE comparisons where Durant's defense IS relevant.

So you have freaking ASG MVPs brought up and ignore a couple Finals MVPs?

Durant surpassed Barkley this season in my opinion, but they are still extremely close.

I have Durant 19th, and Barkley somewhere between 21-25.

If you act like he doesnt have two rings you clearly identify as hater and theres little use to arguing with you. KD has titles, FMVP’s and a unique ability skill wise. Barkley had more fire and heart but not enough talent to reach KD’s level. But we know its the same group trying to discredit KD and Steph, for years now.

Lebron had 4 regular season mvp at this point.Not even comparable

I know you’re being a wise guy, but no of course not. Lebron peaked a good bit higher than Wade, KD didn’t peak higher than Curry.

Which they both are, I never implied otherwise. I was just responding to the user who claimed it was clearly KD or whatever.

Mental gymnastics to act like KD doesnt have two rings as arguably the best player on the team. This kinda stuff belongs in the GB imho. He has two rings wether you like it or not.

Ironically the same guys will post those two statements in different threads:
Curry sucks because even if he has rings, he wasnt the best player on his team because he has no FMVP
KD sucks and his rings are meaningless, and his FMVP’s are also meaningless for some reasons (basically, hate)

Theres clearly an agenda behind discrediting those two guys.

He has the rings. It might leave him higher on an all-time list than Barkley. He was never remotely the best player on the Warriors.

Thats your opinion and you’re entitled to it. I disagree and so did most people voting for FMVP, as well as countless other experts.

Personally i think AD was the best player on the lakers for their title 2020; the moment he went down it was crystal clear leBron alone coudlnt do a damn thing. But that is also just an opinion.
