Green is good but Zo was a moderately legit scorer and a huge defensive force in his own right, plus a competent rebounder. In era, his value was higher than Dray because you could build a team around him, whereas Dray works because he can be a cog rather than a focus. As far as efficacy, you can argue Dray fills his role for Golden State as a high-end roleplayer better than Zo did as a focal player, though, so it becomes an interesting conversation.

It’s close. For the Warriors, I’d want Dray without thinking about it though ‘Zo would do well with them, too. 1997-1999 ‘Zo doesn’t enough credit for how much of an impact monster he was. I think in a vacuum and across more eras, 2000 ‘Zo by a hair but not too confident about that.

Green is better at what he does (key cog) than Zo is at what he does (primary guy).
