Much of the DPOY winners had All Star appearances, for example 3 of those for Gobert. Also, Smart is not bad on the offensive side either. Does he get All Star appearances in the following years?

Going to the finals and possibly winning it always increases a player's chances but I don't see it. There are too many players with more talent and bigger numbers. I do think he is all star caliber in terms of impact but there's no award for that.

If Celtics have a dominant regular season he might sneak into one. I don't expect him to become perennial all-star like Lowry.

It's very possible.

I'll say that if the Celtics win a title and then have the best record in the league next year going into the all-star break all while Smart is continuing to do his thing, I expect he'll make it.

I also think that Smart is now in the territory where people will be happy to put him in as "the 2nd Celtic all-star" if Tatum or Brown is hurt, whereas prior to this year I think he was never seriously considered.

I find both unwatchable. Especially Lowry did literally nothing positive in terms of playing basketball in game seven (i dont consider foul baiting part of the game). If Lowry qualifies as borderline allstar then so should smart.
