Brown: +2.8 EPM and +1.63 LEBRON
LaVine: +2.6 EPM and +0.68 LEBRON
Mitchell: +4.1 EPM and +1.9 LEBRON
Beal: +1.5 EPM and +1.14 LEBRON
Klay: +3 EPM and +1.09 LEBRON

With Mitchell topping both metrics and being the primary offensive star on his team he seems like the clear choice to me.

The problem with Donovan Mitchell is that as he's ascended on offense he's declined massively on defense. Coming into the league he was super active defensively and used his athleticism strenuously on that side of the ball. Not anymore. I wonder how much of that is the Jazz asking him to carry such a large offensive load; if he were in Jaylen Brown's spot could he be an impact defender again, as Brown is.

I also wonder how well Mitchell would fare on a team that had a superior ball-dominant offensive player, particularly a primary ball handler. Can he bring something close to his current offensive value playing off the ball?

Anyway, right now I'll take Jaylen Brown but there's a lot of recency bias there and I wonder how Brown would look on a team that didn't operate like a well-oiled machine.

Its a sad thing to see DM voting higher than Jaylen and LaVine. Dude was not good in the playoffs on eye test at all
