The fact that Wilt had 3 Quadruple Double's in the same Playoff run is insane

Even more insane is Wilt's playoff average of 21.7 PTS 29.1 REBS 9.0 ASTS 9.2 BLKS FG% 57.9

And also the fact that he posted the most consecutive triple-doubles in the same postseason (4) (April 9–16, 1967) as a center which still hasn't been broken by anyone else over 55 years later.

He has a case, although picking one playoff run as the best is impossible task. His case would be his ATG defense, along with anchoring strong offense in a very unique offensive system. Also depends on how you view his finals performance, to me he played extremely well despite low scoring.

The one big drawback is his horrible FT%. If he only made 50% of his free throws, his scoring average would go up to 23 ppg and in the finals up to 20 ppg. Thurmond was a phenomenal defender, but he didn't stop Wilt - Wilt's struggles at FT line stopped him.

I'd probably go for Hakeem in 1994 but this one is definitely at least in the conversation as well.

I disagree. Unlike others on RealGM if we're talking about most impressive individual title run I hold it against him that he wasn't able to lead a team to a title in a high volume go to scoring role.

There's no way I could rank someone who didn't anchor a team offensively/defensively simultaneously being greater than someone who did en route to titles. To be fair when ranking GOAT performances I also hold this against Russell so I wouldn't just single out Wilt.

And his scoring and FG% decreased in the playoffs vs what he averaged in the 66-67 regular season despite the fact he had a very stacked starting 5...arguably the best in NBA history (I'm not sure how many other title winning MVPs had 3 HOF starters in their physical 20s prime...maybe just Russell on some of his teams).

Other greats en route to winning titles shifted to the next gear scoring wise which is more rare and impressive imho.

Add the fact that he was atrocious from the FT line in the Finals at historic levels of futility.

I have about 4-5 title winning playoff/Finals MVP performances in history I find more impressive than 67 Wilt....and that's just limited to PFs/Cs.
