Did LeBron deserve All Defense team in the 2016 season?

It seems like no one ever mentions his excellent 2016 regular season on defense. It usually goes right to his defense in the playoffs (rightfully so)

But was he snubbed that year?

First off, He had no shot against Peak Draymond and Kawhi. There was no debating LeBron's defense against those two.

The 2nd team featured Paul Millsap and Paul George. That's a better debate. Those two were at their apex of their defensive powers at that time. It's difficult to imagine LeBron impact the game more defensively.

Looks like the voting for the last forward spot was pretty close - PG13 got it with Jae and then LeBron close behind.

I'd probably actually lean towards LeBron's way over those two. Not sure I'd call it a snub though

probably not tbh against dray and kawhi

but his defense in the playoffs was pretty incredible

I think George was a more impactful defender in 2013 and 2014 before the injury. By 2016 he had the reputation of those previous two seasons but I definitely don't think he was as good at that end by that point.

I agree that’s George’s defense wasn’t as good as 2014 and that injury definitely affected him
