I say that Kobe on those 76er teams in place of Greer most likely wins rings in 1965 1966 1967 1968.

For a total of 4 rings.

As he would be a huge upgrade defensively while providing basically the same impact offensively.

As Kobe is a far superior playmaker and slasher to Greer.


Plus I can see Kobe just destroying the Celtics as he did with the Spurs.








I can also see him getting along more with Wilt than he did with Shaq in those years.


As Wilt was an incredibly hard worker and stayed in shape and he would have let Kobe be the alpha dog on offence.

I like what Greer could bring to the table, but I won't deny that Kobe is much superior player. I think about at least 2 rings in this span, maybe 3.

A question I have always had about Greer is what happened to him in the 1966 ECF as he usually was outstanding in the three other playoff matchups the 76ers had with Boston in that time frame.


I am thinking that he must have been injured or something as it is hard to explain him just averaging 16.4 PPG on 35%.

When he averaged 23PPG against Boston in the regular season.

I don't know, that's an interesting.

He averaged 23 PPG on 43% from the field against Boston in the regular season.

I don't know what happened to him in the playoffs as Wilt was taking up much of Boston's defensive attention.

As they were denying Wilt the ball and full-court pressing as much as possible while illegally shading the post to hinder entry passes.

So you think Greer would have at least averaged over 18 to 20 PPG.

As in this video most of the 76ers players are being left wide open to shoot.
