How do you rank the top 12 seasons between these players?

i am very high on 2006,2009,2010,2011 wade, i dont see a case for kobe having 8 seasons better than all those

but i wonder what other season wade has to get to six, there is 2005 and 2012 but neither is quite best wade i think

i suppose 2001-2003 kobe and 2006-2009 kobe are his best 7 seasons

Would you not consider Harden for any of the top 12?

when i commented the thread title didnt mention harden

(or at least my mind mkssed it somehow)

i guess 2017-2020 all have good argumebts to make the top 12

2009 and 2010 Wade are his best years by a big Margin. He was the best defensive player outside of young Kobe, but Young Kobe couldn't touch Prime/Peak Wade offensively. I have Harden slightly ahead offensively but Wade's defense gives him the slight nod.

The Peak Harden years, arguably the greatest scorer ever. His ability to shoulder a near 40% usage on his volume truly was special. What he was doing in terms of isolation scoring [Volume+Efficiency] has never been matched. Best offensive player by a clear margin for me here.

Kobe in 2008 and 2009 still had something in the tank and put together his last hoorah as a top-tier hall of famer during these seasons. He was a clear #1 for Championship team first time in his career and delivered. He wasn't the offensive player of Wade/Harden but was solid and consistent defensively and resilient in the post-season.

Wade's 2011 and 2006 years are difficult to rank. After 2009 and 2010, his 2011 was impressive but struggled to integrate seamlessly next to the best player of his generation. In 2006, he wasn't as the same offensively as he eventually became in the next few seasons.

The last 3 seasons include Kobe's ultimate 2-way year as a super-charged sidekick next to Shaq where Kobe showed maybe I can take the reigns soon, Harden halfway between his 2015 [Low-end MVP player] and 2018 [GOAT level offensive player].

Kobe and Wade are pretty even P4P for me, but Kobe just blows him out the water in prime bc of health. I don't see Harden as really close to these guys, and I would rather take a season like 03 Tmac over him for peak.

In order to provide some balance to this thread after Colbini's terrible take, here is my list. Kobe was always more skilled + talented than Wade, so I cannot put a single healthy season of his below any season of Wade's in good faith... and that is my given reason. Gaps represent tiers here too.

I wouldn't take him seriously. To quote a post that 70sFan made recently, Colbini and a few others here (Falco, Rasho, Jaivl, Adagio, etc) somehow believes that they're forced to downgrade Kobe on any occasion because that'd make Duncan look better.

I didn't make a lot of thought about it, comparing 3 players is much harder than only two which is already quite a thing to do. I'm still undecided between Wade vs Kobe for peaks, this time I decided to go with Wade's defensive advantage and rim pressure over Kobe's all-around offensive skillset.

I didn't say I did. Just think that the Timmy-loving/Kobe-hating cabal has too much power when it comes to voting on these projects. If you want your projects to be more respected, it might be worthwhile to have more diversity in opinions, and also transparency of voter's intentions.

best way to improve respect for the project + increase diversity is surely to ban people who have a different opinion
