During Primes which combo would you take?

Normally I would say Stockton/Barkley on talent alone. Stockton's edge over the other PGs makes up for the fact that Barkley is the least of the PFs and Barkley does have the strongest postseason improvement. However, I think the chemistry would be awful between them.

Isiah is the weakest of the PG candidates and Dirk I have behind both the Mailman and Garnett so they are out though they may fit together the best.

That leaves Garnett and Karl Malone, both with large postseason dropoffs. Kidd is not that impressive offensively but his defensive impact is probably the largest of any PG and if you can get shooters to take the offensive pressure off him and Garnett, that would be my choice. If the other starters are weak like the Ostertag/Byron Russell duo from Utah, I would change that to Nash/Karl Malone because the two of them would need to generate offense on their own.

For me this is between Isiah/Dirk and Nash/Malone but the issue of primes is sort of vague and makes it harder to come to a choice. Because primes vary by player and I'm not sure how to apply it here. Those two I mentioned though I think give the best chances at a title for a 5 year run though Kidd/KG and Stockton/Barkley are still very good. Kidd/KG might actually have the best ceiling if you get the right players around them.

Go with 2 Finals MVPs - Isiah and Dirk.
