Hakeem, Oakley, Xavier, Wilkins, Mark Jackson sound scary.

.
All human life on the earth is like grass, and all human glory is like a flower in a field. The grass dries up and its flower falls off, but the Lord’s word endures forever.

Also does Hakeem adjust his game from 93-97 like he did in real life? He would have the shooters to do so in Starks, Harper, Hubert Davis, and Houston.

I think 94 is an easy win. Hakeem with that Knick cast would’ve stomped whoever faces them out of the West. They’d be serious contenders in 93 likely even favorites that year, and 92 is an interesting season too even with Hakeem having a subpar regular season because we know his tendency to rise up in the playoffs. Seems unlikely they get by the Bulls, but if somehow they did I wouldn’t favor anyone else. 95 is interesting too..do we assume that Ewing is on the Rockets? Either way it doesn’t matter since we’d probably be looking at Knicks vs Spurs. I think the Knicks likely take this year as well with Mj’s retirement. That’s about where their contention ends with Hakeem aging and MJ coming back. That old Hakeem changes nothing against the Spurs in 1999.
So overall, 94 seems like a sure thing, 95 feels very likely and 93 has a good chance though still probably less than 50%. The timing would be in his favor just like in real life, he peaks while MJ is retired.

The bulls were taken to 7 by the knicks in 92 despite ewing not being good on offense. Bulls-Knicks was also pretty close in 93.
92 and 93 hakeem is a pretty massive upgrade so I think rockets probablly win in 92 and 93.

Answer: Lots.
What would happen if you swapped out Kenny Smith for Michael Jordan? The original question is almost this extreme.
As I wrote in the post on Moses/Robinson/Ewing, I think Ewing is somewhere between mildly and significantly over-rated.

Life it is not just a series of calculations and a sum total of statistics, it's about experience, it's about participation, it is something more complex and more interesting than what is obvious.
