Darall Imhoff was on two teams that took russell's celtics to 7 so i'm curious.

Quite decent, but below average starting center. He was valuable within limited role on offense, his defense wasn't anything to rave about though.

Basically agree. He arguably wasn't far off of what is a [historically, perhaps not in the 60s] an "average" starter-level center during his best 3-4 seasons around '67-'70.

Very good rebounder, fair scorer, didn't do anything too stupid with the ball. I recall him having a pinch of range (out to around 14', or am I mis-remembering 70sFan?). Defense, yeah.....meh. Serviceable player who was pretty legit C [or PF/C] sized even by modern standards. Not someone you relish starting, but you're reasonably happy to have him as your back-up C.

Yes, Imhoff did have a short midrange jumpshot.
