Even if one wanted to exclude bubble AD due to extenuating circumstances, I'd still put his 14-15 and 17-18 seasons over Alonzo's peak in 99-00.

2020 Davis is clearly better even if it was an outlier playoff performance.

I'd be more comfortable with the outlier label for his 2020 playoffs if he wasn't getting both mvp and dpoy talk for his rs that year. I think that was just a year where everything lined up for him and he understood that if he played at a high level on both ends he could finally get a ring. As it is I think his 2020 holds up as a legitimate peak even if his 3 pt shooting was sort of flukish.

Meh, bubble performance are wildly overscrutinized for "outlierness"

Unusual thinghs happen every playoffs, they just dont get the confirmation bias of a "bubble playoffs" for people to diminish them

That's true as well. Now I will say that the break probably did help LeBron more than most but I also think his 2020 playoffs gets way underrated and even his rs that year. I think his defense was probably the best since 2016 or even 2014 which all the metrics support and that people just have a bit of cognitive dissonance due to him being 35 that year. I have 2020 among his top 6-7 best seasons. That's the only year from 07-2020 that he had a legitimately long off season to recuperate.

When did Davis play like that in the playoffs any other time?

His playoff numbers are actually pretty good overall. I think he led the league in playoff per(for what its worth) once or twice though obviously in shorter runs.

When did jordan score as well in the playoffs as in 91 any other time?

A 4 game sweep doesn’t count as a comparable run.

Among his title runs he never scored that efficiently again, he may have done so in less rounds at some playoffs before 91 tho, didnt look that far

I said that above. Obviously AD had no long playoff runs prior to 2020. Going off that we've seen of him in the playoffs he's generally been good which has to count for something if we are talking about 2020 being some huge outlier for him. Its different than if he were always terrible in the playoffs before then.
