I'm curious - where you at re/ the Duncan/KAJ/KG trio? More specifically, I wonder about mid-80s Kareem.

Kareem & KG are so obviously first and last of the 4, I'm honestly confused as to why you'd include them in this question as opposed to Shaq, Bird, Hakeem etc.

I think I have Kareem, Duncan, Garnett and Magic.

Kareem Magic Duncan KG

Duncan is the most overated player on RealGM
Young David Robinson blows Duncan away on my eye test.
In 3 year prime/peak stats Robinson and Hakeem beat Duncan in my opinion.
So how did Duncan jump ahead of Hakeem. Recency bias and Longevity and the Spurs team being good enough to keep us paying attention to Duncan. Early I thought people were trying to have hot takes or trying to sound sophisticated when their not sophisticated.
Duncan's lack of flashyness ended up being viewed as a positive.

Just some guy that agrees with me. Not saying his article is good.

Have to say, my eye test definitely doesn’t rate Duncan as highly as most of this board.

Just for the record, people bringing up Horry's opinion on this is nothing new. It's also well known he had some kind of feud with the Spurs in general and so is more than willing to keep giving these kinds of takes when he's given the chance to. So you gotta take it with a grain of salt.

Yes but Horry is just agreeing with what I strongly believed anyway without Horry. I am one of those guys that trusts himself and thinks ge is right even when the majority don't agree with me. This putting Duncan in your top 5 thing mystifies me because it is so wrong that it confuses me because realgm consensus opinion is not that wrong on anything else other than perhaps the belief that Bird was a small forward but at least the mistake of thinking that Bird was a small forward is a very understandible mistake.

Next biggest realgm mistake is underrating Bernard King, but then again I understand that Bernard King is irrelevent to most people at Realgm and I understand that I am not normal in valuing short peaks more than longevity.

Top 3 realgm mistakes. Overate Duncan, Don't know Bird's position, underrate Bernard King.
