Rookie Shaq get drafted to the Lakers to play with Kobe Bryant who signed with the team after playing with the Magic for a a couple of years. Basically Shaq and Kobe trade places

1997 Lakers with 93 Shaq + 00 Kobe
1998 Lakers with 94 Shaq + 01 Kobe
1999 Lakers with 95 Shaq + 02 Kobe
2000 Lakers with 96 Shaq + 03 Kobe
2001 Lakers with 97 Shaq + 04 Kobe
2002 Lakers with 98 Shaq + 05 Kobe
2003 Lakers with 99 Shaq + 06 Kobe
2004 Lakers with 00 Shaq + 07 Kobe
2005 Lakers with 01 Shaq
2006 Lakers with 02 Shaq
2007 Lakers with 03 Shaq
2008 Lakers with 04 Shaq
2009 Lakers with 05 Shaq
2010 Lakers with 06 Shaq

Kobe wants out after 2004 and gets traded to the heat for butler and Odom. Kobe stays with Miami untill 2010 and gets replaced by LeBron after tearing his Achilles

Lakers draft Monte Ellis instead of Andrew Bynum. The Gadol trade still happens

How many rings will this Shaq gets in this scenario and who wins the rings battle between Shaq and Kobe??

In this scenario Shaq and Kobe would be roughly the same age with Kobe being older. Im not sure if their personalities would be able coexist for 8 years under this dynamic. But assuming they do I see them as the favorites pretty much every year from 98-04. I see 4-5 titles easy.

If the Heat still draft Wade I see another possible 2 or 3 titles through out the 00s. Assuming Kobe takes a backseat to the much younger Wade. Shaq would have a shot another title with Gasol and Ellis but not a great one. By 2008 Shaq would be at the very end of his prime. Still dominant but not at his peak. Im not sure how Gasol would fit next to him and Ellis isn't really a big game type of player.

I think if Kobe and Shaq trade places they win more titles together and Kobe potentially wins 6 or 7 titles altogether.

I think the most interesting aspect of this scenario is Kobe on the Magic. If the Magic draft Kobe in 92 the then they most likely keep Chris Webber in 93. I don't see this duo winning a title, or even truly contending, but they would be the most exciting duo in the league until Kobe bolts for LA.
