Found this old photo in my archives, it was just before the 2011-12 season.

    1. Lebron James
    2. Dwight Howard
    3. Dwayne Wade
    4. Chis Paul
    5. Dirk Nowitzki
    6. Kevin Durant
    7. Kobe Byrant
    8. Derrick Rose
    9. Deron Williams
    10. Blake Griffin
    11.Pau Gasol
    12. Carmelo Anthony
    13. Amare Stoudamire
    14. Steve Nash
    15. Russell Westbrook
    16. Kevin Love
    17. Rajon Rondo
    18. Manu Ginobili
    19. Tim Duncan
    20. Zach Randolph
    21. Paul Pierce
    22. Kevin Garnett
    23. Lamarcus Aldridge
    24. Chris Bosh
    25. Al Horford
    26. Marc Gasol
    27. Rudy Gay
    28. Tony Parker
    29. Joakim Noah
    30. Andrew Bynum
    31. Nene
    32. Joe Johnson
    33. Andrew Bogut
    34. Andre Iguodala
    35. Ray Allen
    36. Danny Granger
    37. Tyson Chandler
    38. Stephen Curry
    39. Eric Gordon
    40. John Wall

I thought it was quite interesting to look back on.

Rose was MVP the year before, and peaks at 8 here, Dallas won the title and Dirk peaks at 5. Great to show how good Chris Paul and Dwight Howard were during their peaks.

Honestly not a bad projection for the time

Blake at 10 seems high, seeing how he was coming off a rookie year, but he did average 22 / 12 / 3 as a rookie.

Seems pretty alright to me, I'd go lower on Griffin/Melo/Stat and higher on the old guard Nash/KG/TD.

This is a......surprisingly solid and accurate list? Even the guys I think are a bit too high (Williams, Nene, Gay) were pretty defensible at the time.

There was just about no case for Nene over Joe Johnson, Tyson Chandler, or Ray Allen in 2011.

Not over Chandler IMO, but over Joe and Ray? Of course it's defensible. Joe's scoring and efficiency took a nosedive that prior season (18 PPG on 51% TS) and Ray was 36 and had clearly regressed to nothing but a solid starter-level player.
