metric / measure for risk affinity / aversion

I'm asking this here because this seems to be the most rational corner of realGM; the stat board barely has a pulse and GB is just comedy.

I'm writing a paper and i'm looking for a good, available metric to measure risk taking depending on score and remaining time. One option would be the percentage of 3pt attempts but that is not really independent (the opposing defense can almost force 3pt shots). Also its unclear wether this is a player or team/coach decision.

Do you have any other ideas? When i'd coach, i'd throw in full court press with a bit of gambling to turn a game around that went bad, but i wouldnt know where to find stats for that and its just one idea. Any input appreciated.
