Kobe and Embiid is a lot of talent, but as we have seen with Harden a bit, Embiid is not the cleanest fit with high volume scorers. Nash and Davis is basically a perfect pairing to much the same extent that Steph and Draymond are a perfect pairing, although I prefer Nash and Davis a bit more because I think they overall have fewer additional needs. Pippen and Jokic suit each other excellently, but they would still have a lot of roster navigation to go through because Pippen is not reaching the defensive level of Draymond or Davis, and even if the hypothetical were Steph/Pippen versus Draymond/Jokic, I would still see Steph/Pippen as an easier duo to build around.

1. Nash/Davis
2. Steph/Draymond
3. Kobe/Embiid (although there are scenarios where this could be #1 or even somewhat consistently #2, they seem tougher to achieve)
4. Pippen/Jokic

Nash davis is a lot like nash/amare (which led to atguably the GOAT offense when surrounded with shooting and athletism) but with a dpoy defender instead of a big negative one

I would go with that and compliment the team with 3 and D players around them

Kobe and Embiid will help take the offensive load off each other, which means both can also put more effort on defense which makes them the best on this list easily. The one scenario where it possibly won't work would be personalities clashing, I'd want a younger Kobe(early 2000s) with Embiid now. Which would be similar to Shaq and Kobe except Embiid plays better defense and helps space the floor.

Jokic is clearly the best bigman here IMO, while also being the best bigman passer of all time.

Pippen is the best defender of the group IMO, while being a guy who can defend multiple possessions. Both guys are fantastic all around players.

Am I crazy for thinking I'd have Pippen/Jokic at #1?

It's fair to say Kobe/Embiid are in the top 2. Peak Curry might be the best player in the discussion, but Draymond is by far the worst player on this list. Nash/AD have far too many holes mainly being health and defense.

Embiid and Kobe are both at or near the top while being great two-way players. Not huge, but a clear gap.

Jokic
Embiid
AD

Draymond

Kobe
Curry

Pippen/Nash
