Best defensive guard v. small quick opponents

Post#1 » by penbeast0 » Sat Jan 21, 2023 10:02 pm

You are facing prime Calvin Murphy in a 7 game series. Who are your top 5 small quick defensive guards (both man defense and help defense) of all time? This player will never face a defensive assignment with a guard over 6'2 (NBA playing height so more like 6' to 6'1 reality) so don't worry about how they match up against bigger guards.

Mookie Blaylock, Allen Iverson (still holds playoff record for steals in a game), Muggsy Bogues (pest), Young MJ, John Stockton

Some names to consider:

Michael Jordan
Tony Allen
Nate McMillian
Gary Payton/Jrue Holiday (as long as the guard doesn't move off-ball too much)
Sidney Moncrief
Michael Cooper
