How many years of Stephen Curry would you take over Peak KG?

Gun to my head:

2016 Curry
2017 Curry
2019 Curry
2004 KG
2003 KG
2015 Curry
2021 Curry
2008 KG
2022 Curry
2018 Curry
Now that's the difference between first and last place.

I would take 2016 at full health, with his playoff injury considered - I see as 03/04/16/17 pretty interchangeable.

The main difference I see is situational in that I think 15-19 Steph and to a lesser extent 22 was in a much better situation than Minny KG(outside of 04 but then that team fell apart with injuries). So give 03-05 KG something closer to his Boston roster and it changes thing quite a bit imo.

2015-2017, 2021

Might also take 2018 depending on if he is at full health.

I look at KG as similar as many of the other all time great bigs. It's difficult for me to take a 2nd tier perimeter ATG over those types of players.

If Curry is a second tier ATG perimeter player, KG is a second tier ATG big.

That's fair. Though I would take a second tier ATG big over a perimeter player none the less on average.

I understand the reasoning behind your view. The challenge (maybe just for me) is determining the value that certain players provide that have dominant attributes in fairly specific areas against players that have a more balanced range of skills but perhaps are not dominant in one particular area. It makes players like Shaq, Curry and even Moses tough to evaluate because they have some limitations in their game (relatively of course) but their skill set contributed very significantly to their teams winning.

I have Kg as the better peak. His start to finish impact in 2004 is more impressive than anything Curry did to me.

Curry is a clear first tier perimeter player though. You cannot name three perimeter players that have had higher prime and led to better impact/results.

The question I think is on average over the last 20-25 years would it be easier to find a Pierce like player to pair with KG or a Draymond like player to pair with Steph. Because I think results show that either duo will win a ton of games and give you a great chance at a title.
