I feel like the Nets fit is absolutely perfect.

Really good Pippen equivalent in Bridges who will keep improving, bunch of shooters, PnR partner with Claxton, very enterprising front office.

From an overall career perspective I think going to ny and winning a couple titles there would be huge. The question is if their f/o is competent enough to build around him. Winning in BKN may have a similar effect though. Even though people say you can win or be a superstar anywhere in today's nba it's still going to get him a lot more endorsements, media hype and possibly mvp votes if he went to nyc.

Clippers. They are in a major market, have deep pockets, and have never won anything so he would be the savior.

To me the most interesting question is, what kind of star fits best with Luka?

Is it someone like Mikal? If so, that’s a bit tricky:

He wasn’t seen as a star until he began playing in Brooklyn and started being allowed to be a playmaker himself. If that playmaking is essential to him being that level of player, then what makes us think he’ll still have that with a player even more ball-dominant than who he played with in Phoenix?

If he goes back to being a not-quite offensive star while being a not-quite defensive star, is that really the co-star you’re hoping for?

Let him play small forward for the Cavaliers.

I mean the obvious answer is to look at the best run organizations much more than the current rosters. So the Celtics would probably be near the top of my list. Because you are going to re-shape your roster around a player like Luka Doncic, not try and shove him into your current mix. And the NBA is an easy league to re-shape your roster in pretty quickly.

But if he chooses to leave, he's going to dictate where he goes. Stars of his level always do. So one can theorize all the want, but if he leaves he's picking his destination. And so its probably the Lakers, because of course it is.

I'm not entirely sure the Celtics are really near the top or somehow better than many other front offices in the league. I mean they just went through the whole Ime scandal, many Celtics fans think Joe is terrible as a game manager and Brown may be about to force his way out. If Luka went there I don't think they'd be in any hurry to move Tatum who may or may not pair well with him. I don't think it would work out all that well tbh.

JJJ is the guy I'd most want next to Luka - can anchor a defense, play either frontcourt position, and can finish plays from all over the floor
