Inspired on the Big Ben vs TD thread.
Both multiple time DPOY winners.
Who do you got?

It is difficult to parse them. Gobert is more mobile, especially in Mourning best years [1997-2000] while Mourning was able to reach his impact to a higher level [Significantly lower Defensive Ratings] in a less offensive friendly era [Less spacing offensively, less skilled offensive players, less sophisticated offensive sets].

I would prefer Gobert in this era over Mourning and lean towards Mourning over Gobert in the 1990s.

Mourning especially in this era with less back to the basket centers. He could just focus on rim protection

...which he's very probably worse at than Gobert.

I got the frenchman by a bit strictly on defense, even more if we transport him to the late 90s-early 00s (just... a faster and much longer rim protector). Mourning is obviously better if we add offense to the mix.
This place is a cesspool of mindless ineptitude, mental decrepitude, and intellectual lassitude. I refuse to be sucked any deeper into this whirlpool of groupthink sewage. My opinions have been expressed. I'm going to go take a shower.

Mourning is more agile while also being more aggressive and has better timing when it comes to blocking shots
