Not many, that's for sure.

The ones I'd consider over this one (only centers in winning efforts):

Bill Russell vs Lakers 1962 Finals: 22.0/27.0/5.7 on 54.3 FG% and 60.5 TS%
Bill Russell vs Lakers 1963 Finals: 20.0/26.0/5.3 on 46.7 FG% and 53.2 TS%

Wilt Chamberlain vs Hawks 1964 WCF: 38.6/23.4/3.9 on 55.9 FG% and 56.3 TS%
Wilt Chamberlain vs Celtics 1967 ECF: 21.6/32.0/10.0 on 55.6 FG and 56.4 TS%

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar vs Bulls 1974 WCF: 34.8/19.5/3.8 on 66.3 FG% and 67.3 TS%
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar vs Warriors 1977 WCSF: 37.1/18.7/4.3 on 60.7 FG% and 64.0 TS%

Hakeem Olajuwon vs Suns 1994 WCSF: 28.7/13.6/4.6 on 56.3 FG% and 58.2 TS%
Hakeem Olajuwon vs Spurs 1995 WCF: 35.3/12.5/5.0 on 56.0 FG% and 59.0 TS%

Shaquille O'Neal vs Pacers 2000 Finals: 38.0/16.7/2.3 on 61.1 FG% and 57.6 TS%
Shaquille O'Neal vs Sixers 2001 Finals: 33.0/15.8/4.8 on 57.3 FG% and 57.5 TS%

Tim Duncan vs Lakers 2003 WCSF: 28.0/11.8/4.8 on 52.9 FG% and 57.5 TS%
Tim Duncan vs Mavericks 2003 WCF: 28.0/16.7/5.8 on 56.9 FG% and 60.3 TS%

Bill Walton vs 76ers 1977 Finals: 18.5/19.0/5.2 on 54.5 FG% and 57.6 TS%

IF you can come up with a way to measure (a) defensive impact and (b) impact with era adjustment, then we can answer the question. Impressive stuff by Jokic in any case.

Jokic should be recognized as the clear best player in the league at this point. Unfortunately I don’t think he’ll truly get the recognition he deserves until he wins a championship. Also the Nuggets are 4th in drtg in the playoffs, so the silliness that he’s some terrible defender really needs to just stop at this point.

Fortunately that’s only like a month away. Also, I think people are kinda getting the memo even now. With Giannis getting eliminated Round 1 and Joker going off every night, it seems like the light bulb is starting to turn on.

Even when Jokic wins one, the detractors will just make up new stuff like “the competition was weak” or “he didn’t face strong centers” or whatever.

In terms of centers I think only Shaq and Tim Duncan may have had better series this century. If we open it up to all players then you'd need to include a few LeBron series. For example, in the Eastern Conference semi-finals in 2008-09, LeBron recorded a PER of 47.7 (after going 41.1 in the opening round). By comparison, Jokic was an incredible 38.7 against the Suns.

Another thing is whether context matters - for example, Jokic might shade Giannis in the 2021 Finals a little bit statistically but the latter was obviously far more important. So you might value the latter more.

Overall? A few.
On offense? Probably none.

I think Hakeem vs Robinson in 1995 is the greatest individual series in playoff history not just for Centers but at any position.

But one series not mentioned so far:

Patrick Ewing vs the Boston Celtics in 1990.

The first two games of the series looked like the Dream Team vs all their opponents at Barcelona 1992.

Boston was the far superior team overall vs the underdog Knicks.....but they just could not stop Ewing.

Greatest come from behind against the odds individual performance by anyone much less a Center in NBA playoff history imho. Ewing played like a top 5 ever Center that series.

Did you calculate the PER yourself or is there a website that shows PER for a series?

It says "or players in general."

RealGM stats can give you PER for each round of the playoffs.

Thanks for that.

The PER stats for the RS and playoffs on quick glance differ from BBREF.

Wonder why that is?

Well, statistically no one ever. But I always say it's tough to compare eras.
