Curry tentatively, but this latest series with the Lakers is making me question his scoring resilience in the playoffs once again.

I think its Hakeem due to how resilient his playoff scoring was throughout his career on top of the defense.

Tempted to have Hakeem over Curry now as well because of this. Though I do think Curry was excellent in the 2022 finals as well vs a defense that gave KD fits, made Giannis inefficient and slowed Butler down. Part of me though is now questioning Boston's defensive strategy of him in that series in hindsight.

Everyone outside of Curry shot absolutely terrible allowing the Lakers to shift more focus towards Curry.

Last season you had guys where you couldn't just key on Curry. Klay was shooting decent. Poole was shooting much better. But even more so off the bench you were getting contributors from Gary Payton and more specifically Otto Porter jr.

I think OPJ was an underrated part about last years Warriors that was IMO the biggest difference this year. He could give you 15 a night coming off the bench on high shooting. Any little bit of help from other players scoring and shooting opens up a LOT for other players like Curry.

It doesn't help when Klay his man supposed Robin in the last 4 games goes 5 of 14, 3 of 11, 3 of 12 and a disgusting 3 of 19 in the last game.

Their supporting cast was worse this season, but Curry also shoot horribly from 3 to close the series.

That said, it's also perhaps unfair of me to retcon last season because of this season.

I do think Curry noticeably had a lesser engine this year with how poor his defense was in the Laker series.

Bird
Hakeem
Kobe/Curry right next to each other

Probably something like this, I will re-evaluate my list after the end of this season though.

This is kind of interesting because up to this point longevity of Curry held him back in my alltime rankings, but now he's one all-nba level season away of Bird and not that far away of Magic as well.

Hakeem
Bird/Curry
Bryant

Hakeem had better longevity than Bird/Curry and debatable peak - I don't think I can say the same about Kobe, so that's a logic of my order. Obviously, he lacks being an anchor/co-anchor of a dynasty, but to be honest his playoff track record may be the strongest among this group (Hakeem obv).

Curry vs Bird is an interesting convo to have since Bird has better RS record and Curry's playoff resilience was also shaky, but his boxscore production/on-off numbers are outstanding and he was an anchor of a championship team three times in my eyes. So maybe I should lean towards Bird, but they are the same tier of players in my eyes as I'm not that high on RS-based evaluation of players.

Too good on defense, can't have that here.
