The 2016 Spurs are very difficult to assess. On paper they’re one of the greatest teams of all time with the +11.3 net rating and 10.28 SRS, but OKC just overwhelmed them with size and athleticism. Duncan got injured in like January or February of that season, a significant part of this is whether we get pre or post injury Duncan in this matchup. Pre-injury 2016 Duncan was still really good, post-injury 2016 Duncan couldn’t score and was borderline unplayable against OKC.

I’ll go Spurs. 2016 was just a ridiculous season, the Warriors and Spurs were both GOAT level regular season teams and the Cavs and Thunder hit crazy high levels in the playoffs too.

2016 had basically 4 All-time types of teams in the Warriors, OKC, Spurs, and the Cavs.
