How many Draymond seasons over peak Bam Adebayo?
Whichever you have as Bams peak which he might not have even reached yet
16 Draymond is obvious but what else? Similar type of players but Bam worse passer, playmaker but far better scorer and prolly a more switchable defender but not as good on help defense or protecting rim. Both elite ballhandling bigs, versatile, mobile, strong.

My first instinct was '15-'19, don't think Dray has been quite the same level with the neo-Warriors (still great and likely underrated by fans around the league).
I tend to think of Dray as more switchable, but otherwise agree with your broad strokes summary.

I bought a boat.

Bam is def better against guards and wings. Draymond against bigs but Bam does better against some of the elite bigs - Giannis, Embiid, Ad......neither guard Jokic all that well

Re: How many Draymond seasons over peak Bam Adebayo?
I feel like Draymond gets simultaneously under and over rated a lot at the same time. The main reason being success which is a by product of getting to play with Steph/Klay and KD(which obviously you have to give him a large amount of credit for as well) but it tends to get conflated into things like on/off and all of that. I question how well his behavior and tantrums would go over on other teams that aren't winning rings as well as refs putting up with it.

I wanted so badly (and nothing change) Bam on the Warriors. I wrote some ideas to trade Green for Bam 4y ago, but GSW forum ground it into flour...

Good thing for your team, because you wouldn't have 2022 rings with Bam in place of Green.

I'd take 2015-19 and maybe 2022 Green over Bam.

Put Adebayo on the Warriors and they might be even better.

Of course not, but would be better than 2022. MIA played in ECF 3 times in 4y for a reason.

Even with Durant they didn't top that. That's once in a lifetime accomplishment. But Adebayo is a better player than Green.

I mean, Bam wasn't any better than Green against the Celtics last year. He scored more, but was very ineffective overall. Green had a lot of problems on offensive end, but his defensive impact was undeniable.

By "better player", you mean "better scorer" - as always?

There is nothing Draymond does better than Bam.

Bam is a taller, more athletic, more skilled version of Draymond.

2015-2023 except 2020 which was a throwaway season for Draymond.
Bam is a much better overall scorer than Draymond but that is his only real advantage. Draymond is better defensively, is a deadly playmaker and can spot up from 3. Not to mention Draymond's intangibles. He's a dirty player and periodically his personality is toxic to his own team but he's an incredible force on the court.

Re: How many Draymond seasons over peak Bam Adebayo?
The Warriors scheme and personnel (lets face it most years Draymond has had significantly better defending teammates than Bam) allows Draymond to roam a lot as a help defender and have more chances to impact the defense that way. Draymond is usually assigned to their worst frontline player so he can roam more. And also because Dray's strength is not man defense it is help defense. He's not a poor man defender mind you, and he's switchable, but there are many players in the league who are better man defenders, while Dray is a top 3 help defender in the league. So they play to his strengths. This is obviously benefited by the fact that during their dynasty they haven't had any overtly weak defenders in their rotation. So Dray can trust his teammates to do their job and as such he can be a more effective help defender.
Conversely, Bam's teammates are not nearly the quality on defense. The Heat have to rely on other schemes like zone or aggressive blitzes to protect their weak defenders. Bam is a great help defender and rim protector but he doesn't always get to maximize his strengths. Bam is the best man defender on the Heat (and better than Dray by a good margin). A lot of the time he has to switch onto main threats to try and slow them down which lowers his impact as a team defender and rim protector. Bam is also much younger than Dray and I think in the right scheme and with experience in said scheme, it will show that Bam can be every bit as good of a help defender as Dray. Put Bam on one of the most talented teams of all time and he'd look a lot better too. In the years where the Warriors are thinner due to injuries, Draymond is basically a worthless player. While Bam is always a valuable player.
Dray's passing is so overrated at this point it makes me cringe every time someone brings it up. Again its the Warriors scheme that lets Draymond rack up Rondo assists. Draymond is not an elite playmaker. He's a good passer and has good handle for a frontline player, but so is Bam. Put the greatest shooters of all time around Bam and see how many assists he gets.
Lastly, Bam of course is still early in his career while Dray is looking practically washed up in his 10th season. The Warriors lost to a team with D'lo and Austin Reaves as their 3rd and 4th best players. And their best player has one foot in the door of the retirement home. Also barely won against a very young an inexperienced Kings team. Draymond is getting a taste of what it's like to play with a chair on defense (Poole). And it's clear that the Warrior's scheme suffers and breaks down with poor defenders on the floor. While the Heat are more used to this and can hide their bad defenders better.
At the same points in their careers, in a bubble, I'd take Bam over Draymond. I think Bam has the potential to be at least as impactful as Draymond defensively in the right scheme. Right now Bam is already very close to the same impact on defense and in future seasons I expect Bam to overtake Dray in impact. Offensively, I think Bam is clearly the more impactful player. He's a better creator, better shooter, better finisher, and as good of a passer.
I think it's a stupid question to ask which seasons of Dray are better than peak Bam. Again Dray looks better because he's on a dynasty. Anyone would look like a good player when their teammates are peak Curry, Durant and Klay. Draymond was at times the 5th best player on his team (Iggy was huge for the Warriors at times on both ends of the court). Meanwhile Bam is still only his his 5th season and extremely unlikely to be at his career peak level. He's the 2nd best or even at times the best player on his team. And beyond Jimmy/Bam the roster has been a giant mess most of the time. Right now the Heat are starting 3 undrafted players . You're comparing apples to oranges.
Dray is made to look better because he's played on one of the best dynasties of all time. Dray has the experience advantage but also looking like he has one foot in the door of the retirement home at times. Plus Bam isn't a mental headcase that causes team chemistry issues. I'll take Bam. Put Bam on the dynasty Warriors and they still win the same amount of rings.

His primary assignments in the playoffs over the last 2 years have been AD, Dearon Fox, Jaylen Brown, Jalen Brunson, Jaren Jackson, and Nikola Jokic
Which one of those guys is the weak offensive player you can roam off of?
