Is Kevin the Most Stacked First Name in NBA History?

As a thought experiment, I challenge you to beat this team of Kevins (we can call this a Super Peak Team if it helps) using only players with the same first name.

Kevin Garnett
Kevin McHale
Kevin Durant
Kevin Martin
Kevin Johnson
Rich Michmond

I feel like we did a thought exercise like this a few months ago, though doing a more exhaustive list (not just a five-man squad); and I think "Kevin" came up as the likely winner, though a few others were debatable (Chris? Michael? EDIT: Bill/William does well, too, I think).

Add to your names above:
Kevin Love
Kevin Willis
Kevin Porter
Kevin Loughery
Kevin Duckworth

It's a helluva list of back-ups.

Bob/Bobby/Robert does really well, too.

Bob Pettit
Bob Lanier
Robert Parish
Bob Cousy
Bob McAdoo
Bobby Jones
Bob Dandridge
Robert Horry
Bob Boozer
Bobby Jackson
Robert Covington
Robert Reid
Bob Netolicky
Robert Pack
Robert "Tractor" Traylor

More than enough to fill a roster, and some big names in there. Not quite as good as "Kevin" as far as the top 3-5, but arguably better in terms of extended depth.

I recalled Chris doing well, though it's not quite as good as some of the others mentioned:

Chris Paul
Chris Bosh
Chris Webber
Chris Mullin
Chris Morris
Chris Ford
Chris Kaman
Chris Gatling

There are two or three others of negligible relevance.

I never realized Mark wasn't his first name. I went and looked up his brother: Brent wasn't his first name either [Hartley].

Thanks, I apparently missed that this had been gone over before. Considering depth, one I haven't seen mentioned yet is Rick/Ricky/Richard.

Ricky Rubio
Richard Hamilton
Rick Barry
Ricky Pierce
Rick Mahorn
Rick Fox
et al.

The problem with some of these names, though, is that so much of the talent is on one (type of) position, like guards and wings with the Ricks. So in some hypothetical tournament of first names, you might not want to bet on Richard (or even Michael). I guess William is still competitive, though - thank goodness for William Anthony Parker!

That's a good reason to go by your middle name.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy
