The 84 draft was so stacked I shudder to think of adding 4 years to it

So, I think it's hard for me to do if you're focused on players with as low of a threshold as what I'm seeing here.

If I look at it by guys on our Top 100 from 2020 though, here are the stretches with the biggest presence:

1956-1960 gives us 7 guys, most of whom are high on the list.
Bill Russell
Sam Jones
Elgin Baylor
Hal Greer
Wilt Chamberlain
Jerry West
Oscar Robertson

1983-1987 gives us 15 guys:
Clyde Drexler
Michael Jordan
Hakeem Olajuwon
Charles Barkley
John Stockton
Karl Malone
Patrick Ewing
Terry Porter
Dennis Rodman
Jeff Hornacek
David Robinson
Scottie Pippen
Reggie Miller
Kevin Johnson
Horace Grant

1995-1999 gives us 15 too:
Kevin Garnett
Rasheed Wallace
Kobe Bryant
Steve Nash
Ray Allen
Allen Iverson
Ben Wallace
Tim Duncan
Chauncey Billups
Tracy McGrady
Dirk Nowitzki
Paul Pierce
Vince Carter
Manu Ginobili
Shawn Marion

I'll note that 1994-1998 would give us 15 as well with Jason Kidd & Grant Hill replacing Ginobili & Marion.

Those seem like the 3 salient candidates. It's interesting looking at it like this and wondering whether existing draft stretches in the 21st century are destined to surpass these earlier eras. I definitely see some guys listed who could get knocked out in the next iteration.
