Who do you get: Lillard or Butler

Career, peak, prime?
Are both HOF lock?
Their biggest difference is 119 playoffs games played for Butler vs. 61 for Lillard.
Lillard made to 75th anniversary team but would Butler have a chance to make it to 80th or 100th in the future? With so many young talents emerging, the chance is small imo.

Career: Lillard
Solid longevity.

Butler has some durability issues mainly in the Regular Season.

Peak: Butler
Butler's peak is easily better than Lillard. Lillard is one of the biggest Offensive Playoff Dropper in NBA History. Lillard's Defense is also one of the worst amongst perennial All-NBA caliber players in NBA History.

Prime: Butler
From 2015-2023, Butler has been a much sturdier and consistent per possession player than Lillard mainly in the Playoffs.

Both are no brainers as Hall of Famers
Lillard - Made the NBA's Top 75
Butler - One of only 20 players in the last 55 years of NBA History to make 5x All Star Teams, 5x All-NBA Teams, and 5x All-Defensive Teams.

At the same time, I wouldn't put too much stock in the Top 75 Anniversary List.

Do you think Lillard was a better basketball player than Pau Gasol or Dwight Howard? Do you think Dennis Rodman or Carmelo Anthony is a better basketball player than Manu Ginobili or Tracy McGrady?

A lot of these Anniversary Teams are simply based on narrative storytelling and how exciting/interesting they were, hence the inclusion of Pete Maravich and Dennis Rodman.

Jimmy slightly higher for everything. Dame's physical limitations are too much of a real thing in the playoffs compared to Jimmy and even if you just throw out the ps(which I'd never really do) I think its almost even or in Jimmy's favor due to defense.
