Assuming we’re comparing PEAKS, who would you rather build your team around for 2 seasons?

I’m aware one already happened while the other has just been assembled. The potential fit between the latter is just so great that it raises the question.

You could make a reasonable argument that both LeBron and Wade were better than Giannis in 2011.

LeBron and Wade. They were together for 1 season where both were close to peak level and cruised to the NBA Finals.

I actually don't buy into Giannis/Dame being a potential "So Great" fit. Good, yeah, but there are multiple areas to nitpick about the fit.

When they clicked (12 & 13 RS, 12 PS) - James and Wade were like a +13 Net rating / 100 both on the floor

Same with 2011, where they were +12.35 in the RS and +13.41 over the 3-year period of 2011-2013.

Kyrie and LeBron were +10.38 in the RS and +10.40 in the PS (2015-2017)
LeBron and Love were +11.52 in the RS and +14.52 in the PS (2015-2017)

When have we seen a Top 5 Offensive player and Top 5 Defensive player join forces like this? This really reminds me of KG/Pierce/Allen with Giannis/Dame/Middleton.

Lillard is easily the least good player out of the four. The only reason to pick Giannis + Lillard would be if you think they fit better together as players. Perhaps they do, but we’ll have to see.

Lebron is better than Giannis by a good bit and Wade is eons above Lillard. Fit won't make up for that.
