Seems like legit "ascended 3&D" pre-injury, and system dude post-injury

Classic good-not-great player.

Usable 2nd option on offense, though unique (many teams would prefer a guy who could do more self creation) and somewhat inconsistent. Defensively solid, though probably a tad overrated. Fine enough as a lower end All-star type, maybe fringe All-NBA at peak.

Since coming back from injury pretty much just a rotation wing (fine 4th/5th starter, but could be a bench guy on some teams depending on team comp). Still scores at some volume, but the efficiency is gone and the defense has fallen off too. This season in particular he's been worse than that, but it is early, so no big takeaways from me.

The best 3&D wing ever at his peak. Players who were better on D didn't shoot with his volume and efficiency from deep and wings who you could argue were better shooters (Korver for example) weren't on his level on D.

If Klay peak would be in this era, he would be left w/o ALLAstar and ALLNBA.

Guards like Edwards/Morant/Fox/Doncic/Curry/Booker/Shai/Maxey/Hali/Young/Brunson/Mitchell/Lillard would eat all guards spots. Now we dont find guards on ALLNBA teams with one season spike like Oladipo/Kemba/Dragic/Lowry/Wall. Needs to be consistent good season by season to be selected on ALLNBA teams.

His TS would look more avg and defence with more space would suffer more. He played in perfect time for his skills, where league wasn't ready for new brand basketball.

He was excellent for his role. I would have loved to see a Love/Klay trade to see Klay forced to take on more responsibility offensively, though I don't think he had it in him.

He fed off two mega stars [Draymond Defensively, Steph Offensively] and his skill-set on both ends of the floor complimented both of them perfectly.

Yup - really a completely unique player pre-injury. Large frame and quick feet meant he could legit guard 1-4 and his combination of volume and efficiency from 3 is unmatched by all but 1

He was never a super well rounded, little bit of everything type of player. He was a highly calibrated super-weapon designed to be elite at all the things the Warriors (and really I think any or at least most championship level teams)needed

Yup, the perfect wing role player for any team. Could catch & shoot & hit off movement and had the 1 dribble pull-up middie if he got ran off the line. The perfect complementary player.

I'll add his quick movements off ball create a lot of scoring opportunities through sheer gravity, even today

The most underrated aspect of movement shooting. Which before the splash bro's i'd never really thought about. The classic play where 2 defenders follow Steph or Klay and either Iggy or Draymond hits the guy slipping to the rim is seared into my mind.

He’s one of the players of all time.

He's similar to Tony Parker or James Worthy for me. He was quite a good player at his peak as those two were but I was never sold on Tony/James fully as historic players. Same too with Klay.

Again very good player. And the ability to mesh with historic players is under-appreciated. Lots of players better than Worthy, Parker and Klay didnt have that skill

The second best movement shooter ever (behind Curry) who was also a legitimately All-Defense level switchable defender pre-injury, could defend guards and the post well, had a decent in-between game and is probably the second best shooter in general in the modern game?

Yeah, it’s a hell of a legacy.

Very good people need to stop confusing post injury Klay with prime Klay. Elite off ball shooter who could play good defense.

I considered 2016 Klay a legitimate superstar with his total 2 way impact. Now I consider him...washed
