Start one, bench one, cut one.
For me, it's start Dominique, bench English, cut Carmelo

Start English, bench Nique and cut Carmelo. I think English is the only one out of the bunch who would be willing to have reduced shots on a contending team(also the most efficient), play defense and is a decent passer. Nique over Melo just because I think Melo would have more trouble accepting that role and I like Nique's energy.

Start English, bench Nique, cut Melo. English and Nique two of the classiest guys to play the game; Melo more likely to whine and moan and look to leave for greener pastures. English over Melo for better efficiency, passing, and probably better defense (Nique gives you better rebounding and better isolation scoring).

I agree. Bench Alex, cut Carmelo.
But I would start Wilkens at SF and start Alex at power Forward. Then do I get to bring Carmelo off the bench?
Alex did play some power forward and he did rebound.
1984 12 playoff games Bernard King is better than any of them and peak Adrian Dantley is probably 2nd best.
Young athletic freak Dominque was only slightly better than older more skills based Dominique.

If you are looking at a single long playoff run, yes, Bernard is the best. Otherwise he was too often injured or dealing with his substance issues and (at least in his Washington years) not interested in anything other than scoring.
Aguirre is a better career comp for King among the contemporaries of that era, a step down from Dantley and English. Nique would be a step down too for his inefficiency but still comparable to Aguirre and King despite that for how long and consistent his prime was.
