Another fun comparison between two similar but different guards - seems like they both broke out this year with playoff run pending for Shai. Hope he gets well soon, because he has the traits (craft, touch on shots, feel for the game, grit / aura) to make him resilient in a PS setting just like Wade, Kobe, and Mike were.

That said, here’s 06 Wade’s stats compared to 24 Shai’s - who do you consider the better player?

Shai can hit 3s. It's him.

Without taking into account Wade's 06 playoff run it would just be another year of Wade's prime rather than often trotted out as his apex(along with 09). The reason is that playoffs matter that much. So without seeing SGA's playoffs you can't possibly do a proper comparison yet.

Shai has bad a better regular season maybe, but no one rates Wade highly because of his 2006 regular season.

Wade was one of those guys that went up a level in the playoffs. It's clearly him until SGA proves something when it matters.
