Rank these teams for three year run?
1988-90 Pistons
2008-10 Lakers
1984-86 Celtics
2015-17 Warriors
All won two championships and lost the other year in the finals.
Also, how much does each team rise if they had won three straight in those years?
Think all obviously rise alot with the rareness of threepeating but the 1988-89 Pistons and also Isiah Thomas rise much more alltime comparatively to how they are looked at.

Clearly the 2015-2017 Warriors.

1. Celtics 84-86: 84 and 85 Lakers are probably the hardest teams to beat on this list, 86 their competition was easier but we know that was a dominant squad
2. Pistons 88-90: Like Celtics their one loss was to a great team and barely, beating 1990 Bulls is solid.
3. Warriors 15-17: Warriors would be my #1 if you did 16-18, not 15-17. The pre Durant Warriors lost to a mid level champion and had trouble with the Thunder, so I don't think them or the worse version in 15 was as stacked as the above teams.
4. Lakers 08-10: None of these teams are close to the 17 Warriors, they rank into a great team in 08 but in 09 and 10 had it easier.

The Isiah Pistons had great runs in 1986 and 87 as well, barely losing and to elite teams, the Celtics. They seem to not get mentioned much but that Isiah squad was very good for years, almost as much as Jordan's Bulls.

Re: Better three year run
Warriors are easily 1st.
I'd put the Celtics 2nd. Lakers/Pistons arguably a wash.
