I mean the rotation outside of the top 4 is that of a tanking team. They have A LOT of work to do to salvage this offseason

They couldnt afford to keep Bruce Iirc w/ offer Pacers gave him and he chose money. Im sure they wanted to keep him but couldnt under the new Cba. Not like they told him to **** off lol they couldnt keep him if they wanted

Rumors about Lauri trade talk, would be really interesting to see him move to any of the possible options.

Warriors need him a lot more than the Spurs do. Obviously it's a good fit in SA, but I don't really think this is the time nor the player to spend your assets on (assuming there will be other bidders and knowing Utah is run by Danny Ainge). Warriors need another body to have any hope of being relevant in the playoff chase.

OKC makes the most sense to me but doesnt seem like they want to make that type of move

I’m conflicted about the Warriors because while they do need the help, their future picks could end up being quite valuable and they run the risk of suffering an Ainge fleece.

I think OKC will wait for a better player to be available. Lauri doesn't really move the needle too much for me with them considering they'd likely have to give up a few nice young guys.

Warriors are going to be bad for a while regardless, maybe they can get another playoff series win or two with this move and IMO that'd be worthwhile. They can re-coupe their picks in a few years when Steph is no longer good enough to justify keeping a real team together. I think any trade the Warriors make will have to be pretty complicated due to the new cap rules though right?

Warriors got a good amount of $ off their books and Lauri isn't on a big contract so I think it would be pretty doable but dunno

That MPJ contract continues to be all-time bad. That and the fact that Murray got a max deal before he even made an all-star team tells you how terribly Denver managed their roster.

They’re done for at least the next two years. The West should be the who can beat OKC show now. They have the best player(IMO) and the most depth.

I wanna see Holmgren improve on top of it.

It's hard to criticize Denver too much since they're not far removed from a championship, but it does seem like Calvin Booth is a huge downgrade from Connelly. They've gone from a drafting/development powerhouse to a mediocre front office that fills the roster with over-the-hill veterans, overpays guys and mismanages assets. It seems like a Kroenke issue since the Avs are in the same boat of mismanagement closing their window quickly after a title.

Re: brown yeah they couldn't afford him, but booth also abruptly cast him aside publicly. There are other ways to prop up your young players than this. Via the ringer going into this past season:

He’s longer. He’s more athletic. He guards better. He passes better. He doesn’t have the experience, and he’s not as good offensively yet, but we need defense more than we need offense on our team.”

It ultimately seems like ownership not wanting to spend tho. Fans speculating they don't even want to enter the luxury tax which is just a slap in the face to a championship level team. We'll see what happens.

Tim Connelly filled his rosters with over-the-hill veterans, overpayed guys (he's the one who gave MPJ his insane contract), and mismanaged assets. I think Booth deserves credit for salvaging the situation after 2022, but he's done nothing to improve the roster in two years even though Denver desperately needs to get better to compete with Boston

Suns and Nuggets overrated — Nuggets ludicrously so, unless Vegas has some sense of an impending trade that no one has reported. Grizzlies underrated. Clippers potentially underrated based on health.
