Home court advantage in this case is the court and ruleset that you play with. For example, the NBA will host its home games playing on an NBA court with NBA rules. The Olympic team's home games are played on a FIBA court with FIBA rules.

I think when you watch the current Team USA you can see a lot of players aren't used optimally (inevitably someone has to do the things that reserves usually do). Whereas on teams like the Celtics or Nuggets each player has an optimal role and function.
