Watched both on my team. DJJ is consistently the better lockdown defender but Caleb himself is no slouch on that end.

However, there are periods offensively where Martin can look like Prime PG but then the very next play will look like a complete scrub (he is a role player after all not a star). Boston '23 is evidence of Caleb's superior offensive game. So I'd give the edge to Martin as much as I like DJJ and his freakish athleticism.

DJJ averaged 20+ PPG on 70+FG% in games 5+6 to close out the Thunder.
DJJ is a better defender, better transition player and better roll man/cutter, Martin is the better shooter and better ball handler.
Next to heliocentric offensive hub, looking for an off ball player, I'd take DJJ pretty comfortably.
In a distributed offense where role players need to make good decisions, put it on the floor if need be, I'd take Martin.

I think they are similar caliber players, and distinguishing which is better feels pretty situational and somewhat arbitrary.

They're kinda sorta in similar molds with Martin being a little more well rounded. DJJ is the more impactful defender, but a bigger potential liability offensively as a guy that teams will just leave in a playoff series.

Depends on what a team has a greater need for given the trade-offs.
