Top 5 player, lead OKC to #1 seed last season, 2nd in MVP last season.

I don't think the West has a shot at beating this team. 3 games in and Chet is averaging 13 rebounds and 4 blocks per game while getting to the foul line at a high level. He's playing way bigger and more physically to start.

If Holmgren took a step up and they added Alex Caruso and Hartenstein, we are looking at +10 team, easily. Maybe higher.

I feel like i am going overboard but this may be the best roster in the whole league, celtics included, by the time the playoffs roll

Great to see SGA embracing the 3pt shot a lot more (even if some growing pains are to be expected) and his activity level on defense is ridiculous (though that is true for OKC's Guards in general – insane what kind of pressure they exert to overcome size disadvantages).

The offense is a bit too simplistic at times, though. Playing fast and with quick triggers is fine but their shot creators – and J-Dub in particular – should not let it end up being merely a quick shooting contest but still emphasize breaking defenses down (which they are more than capable of) and getting the ball moving.

I'll be a little sad if he doesn't get MVP this year. Feel like he should have last time though I guess you can say I'm biased.

I would mark him as the early favourite. Should have a top two record, with much clearer separation from anyone on the roster than what Tatum has on the Celtics, on top of generally being more statistically productive and aesthetically appealing player.

Just needs to outplay Luka in a couple of their big regular season tilts to really secure the necessary voting base.

I'd consider him my favorite to this point.

Regarding last year, what I'd say is that if he hadn't missed time toward the end, I might have sided with him over Jokic, but as it was I was comfortable with him in the 2nd spot.

Why is it that SGA gets to have his own thread but even Klay is mentioned in the Doncic one ? At least make it so that Chet is included, too.

A bottom 10 offense and a -20 defense. These won't hold.

But they're proving they can sustain insane defense for as long as it takes to sweep a few playoff teams.

But I will say, unlike most elite defenses, they're actually young. This is a college-age team with a lot of depth. They might actually be able to sustain this kind of defensive effort for 100 games.

Underrated. He's routinely rated highly, but his killer instinct as a scorer needs to be acknowledged more. He's one of the guys that makes the West wild.

That doesn't make sense. His scoring is the primary reason he gets discussed...

"Since the NBA began tracking those numbers," though.

It's hard to imagine West, Oscar or maybe even Wilt didn't pull one of those games off.
