I was going to start this on the GB but every KD thread gets silly. So in 2016 OKC loses to Golden St who loses to Cleveland and the rest his history.

What do you think he would’ve or should’ve done after these scenarios in regards to his free agency that summer:

Alternate endings:

- OKC beats Golden St, beats Cleveland to win the finals
- OKC beats Golden St, loses to Cleveland in the finals
- OKC loses to Golden St, Warriors beat Cleveland in the finals

The only non negotiable was going to the Warriors had they won. He would’ve never done that.

The most fascinating one is joining the Warriors after beating them regardless of what happens vs Cleveland. The blowback wouldn’t have been as bad had he not joined the team that beat them in WCF.

I think he does the exact same thing in every scenario. Maybe he stays if OKC wins the title but I'd still lean he goes to GSW.

He probably goes to GS either way.

In hindsight its funny to think that losing to the Spurs in the second round probably would have softened the criticism of his decision.
