Holmgren v Mobley
Assuming they are healthy, who is better now and who will have the better career?
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Re: Holmgren v Mobley
Holmgren had a stronger impact more quickly in the NBA so probably has the higher ceiling but also the higher injury factor so far. Mobley has been healthier and had more impact this year. I'd bet on Chet if both played injury free for the next 8 years but I wouldn't bet on him doing so.

Yep, that’s it. Chet has a higher ceiling (although Mobley has closed the gap in my mind with his play this year), but there’s plenty of evidence already to suggest Chet will have consistent injury issues. Career numbers, I take Mobley without hesitation. One season peak for a healthy year in their respective primes, I’d take Chet.

Sounds about right to me.
